startups + marketing + nonsense
I started startup hustle to document my thoughts and challenges while marketing startup companies. I started toward the end of college working first on the Go BIG Network and later on GotCast heading marketing. Around the same time I started an iPhone app called iSoccer shortly after the Apple app store opened and found no good soccer apps. This was the point where I sold startup hustle (the domain and blog) to a friend as I was getting burned out on blogging.
After leaving Go BIG, I went corporate and joined GSW Worldwide, a global pharmaceutical and healthcare ad agency and became a digital strategist. At GSW I got experience learning formal agency processes, corporate politics (blah) and most importantly search strategies for major pharma clients in the United States, Canada and Europe. I reacquired startup hustle toward the end of my time at GSW.
After 3 years in corporate life I wanted to get back to a web company and got the opportunity to join 2Checkout as the Director of Digital Marketing.
