Thank you for this post. I will say that although the concept of affiliate marketing is very attractive one, there are some fundimental things you will need.

First is quality traffic and lots of it. The second is a good stratey for promotion of these products. Affiliate product reviews works really well and of course their are others. What I will say is affiliate marketing is not a way to get rich quick. It just like any other business.

It takes smart, hard work! Of course if you already have a trusted database of +50K people who love what you say and do then it's a no brainer.

Not bad, but the amount for pay pers is on the high side and a little misleading to someone who thinks they can make a quick buck. They would have to put in hours getting visitors to their site to pay; even with SEO.

The concept of affiliate marketing is explained well. I really enjoyed the section about fulfilling a demand versus creating a demand. Lastly, Joes comment about following your passion and expertise to determine what to affiliate market was well said.

I want to recommend to readers here who wish to try affiliate marketing to follow their passion and expertise in life. People (that is, customers) are more likely to trust the advice of someone who knows exactly what their selling and can interact with them. If you follow your passion, you will make hella good bank.

As you establish yourself as a trusted advisor, you should consider automating your marketing, sales and customer segmentation and target your customers with well-thought marketing campaigns. When you follow up with prior customers, you can generate more sales, discussion, credibility and trust.

Initially, anyone can start out with the basics -- a combination of 1Shoppingcart, AWeber a blog, and some time. When you grow your business, you could 'graduate' onward to Infusionsoft.

Good entry, Dezmon!

Thanks,
Joe
