		<description>The only time i attempted viral marketing i used some of the points you wrote about, i would just like to add that i think the most important point that you give is that you should not try to "sell" the product or service to anyone but in fact just write them a "just wanted to let you know" type e-mail.  
Kudos for writing up the points because i was just never able to explain the essentials.
Something that you left out is the time frame and a bit more data, did you count 50, 100 200 small blogs?  Did you necessarily had to have a budget?

The one thing I would argue with is that viral marketing and word of the mouth is not the same thing. Josh Kopelman wrote a great blog post about this - "a viral product is one where a consumer's basic usage of a site/product brings new users (and therefore additional utility) to the site/product."
